Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth and Other Holiday Cravings at Greenfield District’s “Christmas for Generations” 2023

Manila, Philippines—Nothing signals the beginning of the holiday season better than a festive tree glowing with Christmas lights. It makes any place look merry and bright, adding warmth and light to holiday gatherings.

At Greenfield District, the Future-Ready District of Greenfield Development Corporation (GDC) in Mandaluyong City, a festive Christmas tree lighting event has been an annual tradition since 2014.

A Christmas candy land at the heart of the metro

Starting October 27, 2023, Greenfield District will transform into a Christmas Candy Land with the launch of GDC’s annual holiday festivities called “A Christmas for Generations”.

“Christmas is a special occasion for many Filipino families, and we want Greenfield District to be a part of their memorable holiday experience every year,” says GDC Executive Vice President and General Manager Atty. Duane A.X. Santos. “At GDC, we uphold our tradition of organizing events that promote the value of togetherness and spending quality time with the family while making sure everyone is safe and secure in our green open spaces.”

To kickstart Greenfield District’s yuletide merry-making, visitors are invited to witness the traditional lighting of the 60-foot Christmas tree at the Greenfield District Central Park on October 27, 2023, 5 PM. This towering Christmas tree will be decorated with candy canes, donuts, lollipops, and other candy-themed and dessert-themed ornaments.

The Christmas tree lighting event will be accompanied by a mesmerizing display of fireworks and an enchanting Christmas caroling from a 20-member chorale, all of which will set the tone for visitors to get into the holiday spirit. Mayflower and United Street near Greenfield District Central Park will also be lined with bright and colorful lanterns in the shape of sweet treats and delectable desserts.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to meet and greet Santa Claus and enjoy some delectable treats with their loved ones under the glow of Christmas lights, all while being serenaded by chorale and band performances. To top it all off, visitors will also get a chance to win amazing prizes that will be raffled off throughout the evening.

True to the theme of Christmas Candy Land, there will be a wide variety of vendors selling desserts and sweet drinks, among other artisanal food and drinks on offer that will satisfy your holiday cravings.

Greenfield District is excited to host this event, not just for communities within Ortigas Center and Mandaluyong City, but for families from all over who want to experience the magic of a Christmas.

From October 27 through December 31, everyone is invited to visit Greenfield District to marvel at the brightly-lit Christmas tree while enjoying some much-needed holiday dining and shopping with their loved ones. This is free and open to the public.

A Christmas tradition for generations
True to its mission of building for generations, GDC is also committed to building traditions for generations.

“At GDC, we are committed to not only building properties for generations but also developing verdant, spacious neighborhoods with lasting traditions, where Filipino families can create beautiful memories together throughout the years,” says Atty. Duane A.X. Santos.

“Christmas for Generations”, an annual holiday tradition at Greenfield District since 2014, is a testament to this mission. It officially marks the beginning of the Christmas season in the community, inviting Filipino families from all over to spend some quality time together and make the holidays more meaningful and memorable.

Located at the corner of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard, Greenfield District is accessible to the public through various routes and roadways from the central business districts of Metro Manila, making it an ideal destination for recreational activities, get-togethers, and shopping this yuletide season.
