Wish 107.5 X KDR Music House. They produce the best damn concert in town!

The 9th installment of the #WishDate Concert entitled “Memoir” held on the first day October 1 at 7 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum was a testament to this.

A fusion of film, theatre, radio, and live performances, the audience couldn’t help but be swayed by the various emotions presented before them.  Memoir gives a feeling of deja vu – that ‘kilig’ factor and the joy of falling in love for the first time. And perhaps a longing for one’s true love who may have stepped onto the world beyond this lifetime.

Starring beauty queen-actress Alice Dixson and veteran actress Louella de Cordova with promising actors Shaira Diaz, Devon Seron, and Joshua Dionisio, the compelling narrative based on stories sent to Dr. Clark (the radio program) gives viewers an emotional journey — the joys and heartbreaks of the characters — set against a backdrop of love, loss and the healing power of friendship.

The audience, young and old, also got to sing along with all-time favorite, iconic songs from the live performances of up-and-coming singer Hakki, songsmith Peniel, rock-alt band Moonstar88, acoustic heartthrob TJ Monterde, and Queen of RnB Kyla.

Kyla, the true concert diva brought the house down with her RnB version of the pop song On the Wings of Love and mesmerized music aficionados of how she does the Riffs and Runs — which only Kyla does best!

TJ made the young concert attendees, as well as the feelinnials (‘feeling millennials’ or those who feel and act like the millennials), swoon with his lovesongs: Ikaw at Ako, Tulad Mo, Palagi, and Dating Tayo — many of which he wrote and dedicated to his wife, KZ (Tandingan.)

WishDate veterans yet young songstress Hakki and Penniel do their job well as usual rendering sentimental and sad songs like Somewhere in Time, Never-ending Story, I Will Always Love You, You Are the Only Exception, I Know Him So Well, Love of My Life, and many more.

Moonstar88 makes the crowd dance with glee as they play, sing, and reprise old and new songs and their own such as Torete and Ang Pag-Ibig Kong Ito.

Moreover, veteran actors Alice and Louella did live acting to the delight of the audience albeit sad episodes on their friendship with the death of Jeena’s  (Alice) husband.

Young star Kate Yalung, in her special participating role, capped the night’s story with her valedictory speech highlighting the heroic deed of Jeena’s husband to save her life. Thereby answering Jeena’s question about why Nick has to go away at a time when they were happy together as husband and wife.

For exceptional displays of acting prowess and soul-stirring live performances, tune in to upcoming WishDate concerts! For updates, follow and subscribe to KDR Music House’s social media channels.
