On July 25, 2022 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic Manila Hotel, the 2022 Filipino Heritage Awards and Society Ball will honor outstanding men, women and brands who have helped, advocated and worked towards defining the Filipino Identity. This event is presented by the Philippine Heritage Society and LyrOPERA (Lyric Opera of the Philippines).
The 2022 distinguished list of Awardees include: Imelda Romualdez Marcos, Jaime Laya, Atty. Dominador Buhain, Cristina Galang-Caedo, Liza Macuja-Elizalde, National Artist for Music Fides Cuyugan-Asencio, Aristocrat, Mama Sita’s and Sarao Motors.
One of the highlights of the grand event are performances from LyrOPERA artists, each of whom have made a name for themselves in the local and international scene. Be enthralled at the majestic voices of tenor Randy Gilongo, the Philippine Tenors (John Ocampos, Kenneth Cataylo and Sherwin Sozon), sopranos Sherine Ann Koa, Bernadette Mamauag, Eden Dumlao and new discovery Calie Ng. Soprano and Aliw Awardee Niña Campos will both host and perform.
LyrOPERA is the country’s premier non-profit opera company. Its past productions include Bizet’s Carmen, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Marawing Salamat: the Best of Opera and Fashion for Marawi; Cayabyab’s Magnificat, and others.
