After years of waiting, the film “Huling Sayaw” will finally be shown commercially in your favorite movie houses this week (September 13, 2023). The film was ready to be released a few years back when COVID-19 struck the country. The project stopped, and production resumed until such time was already possible for a commercial release. To make the story more current, the production decided to add new scenes and new characters to suit the needs of the present time. It stars Bugoy Cariño and Belle Mariano, years before the moniker “DonBelle” became a popular loveteam. It was produced and directed by Errol Ropero under Camerrol Entertainment Productions.
A heartfelt film that explores the trials and triumphs of friendship, redemption, and the pursuit of dreams, it promises to captivate the hearts of audiences everywhere.
The production’s press release relates that the story revolves around three childhood best friends, Danilo (Bugoy), Tiffany (Belle Mariano), and Stephanie (Andy Abellar), as they navigate their senior year at a prestigious school in Manila. However, their lives take an unexpected turn when Danilo makes a wrong decision and is led astray and influenced by negative people.
As Danilo finds himself on the brink of losing everything he holds dear, he must summon the strength and resilience to reclaim his true path. Along the way, the characters undergo profound transformations, testing the bounds of friendship and inner resolve. Will Danilo overcome his mistakes, chase his dream of becoming a renowned dancer, and endure the test of time?
Today, Bugoy is a father of a 5-year-old daughter (Scarlet) with his volleyball player partner, EJ Laurie (UST). He also shares that he is ready to settle down and get married. He will soon start another project, a horror movie, also under Direk Errol. And how’s his relationship with his leading lady in the film?
“Naku, wala na po kaming contact mula ng matapos namin ang movie. Wala po akong number sa kanya. Pero masaya naman syang katrabaho,” he insists.
Aside from Bugoy and Belle, other members of the cast include Jao Mapa, Ramon Christopher, Rob Sy, Emilio Garcia, Christian Vasquez, Jeffrey Santos, Mark Herras, Zeus Collins and Mickey Ferriols.
