“As an actor, gagawin ko ang lahat ng dapat gawin, even frontal nudity, kung talagang kailangan sa story at sa eksena. Although, may mga directors na sasabihin sa iyo na kung mas comfortable ka na mag tanggal ng plaster, puede naman. Siempre, nasa iyo na yan. ” – Benz Sangalang
“Sitio Diablo”
After the big success of his first Vivamax movie “Secrets,” under the award-winning director ( Joey Javier Reyes), Benz Sangalang is back in a more sizzling, daring and action-packed movie “Sitio Diablo, ” under the erotic-thriller director, Roman Perez, Jr.
In a recent tete-a-tete with one of Philmoda’s busiest Barakos, Benz was confident to share that his latest movie is considered as one of the most expensive projects the studio has produced. “Siguro, kaya nasabi na one of the most expensive movies ng Via dahil sa different locations na pinuntahan namin at almost lahat na mga sikat na rappers sa local music industry natin ay kasama dito, ” he said. 
And for the first time, he will be playing the role of contravida (villain), and put much time to develop his body just to keep up with the role he’s playing. It’s also his first movie with AJ Raval, playing as his younger sister, and and the newcomer Azi Acosta, his love interest in the said film.
“Medyo nanibago ako sa role kasi yungboagpapalit ng emotions so mga eksena. At talagang mas daring ako dito. Siguro halos kalahati lang yung sa “Secrets” na ginawa ko as compared dito. At dahil na rin kasi ibang klaseng ang role mo dito…talagang bad boy.
“At natutuwa ako kasi i was given the chance na makatrabaho si AJ Raval. At mahirap s’yang katrabaho kasi hindi mo mararamdaman na she’s the most famous star of Vivamax,” he shared.
It was also a learning experience for Benz working with first-timer Azi Acosta, specially with their most-talked about rooftop love scenes. “Nung una, nai-ilang pa s’ya dahil natural sa isang first-timer na sumabak agad sa mga daring scenes. Pero fast-learner naman s’yang at madali lang naman s’yang naka-adapt sa mga sexy scenes,” he added.
And how was it like working with direk Roman for the first time?
“Matatapos s’yang katrabaho at marami talaga akong natutunan sa kanya,” he answered. “Mabilis po s’yang katrabaho, and there’s no pressure na katrabaho. Parang tropa lang. At maganda s’yang movie kasi bihira ka lang makakapanood ng Isang movie na nagsasalamin ng kahirapan ng Pilipinas.”
As an actor, Benz believed that each director has his own style, attitude and working habit on the set. “Actually, both direk Joey and direk Roman, almost the same lang naman sila. Si direk Joey gina-guide n’ya ako noon Dun sa mga sex scenes namin, while direk Roman naman mas mag e-emphasize s’ya sa emotions. And both of them ang importante ma-ibigay mo ng tama ang hinihingi ng eksena.”
As one of the busiest Vivamax hunks, three more movies are presently lined-up for him this year, namely, “Bata Pa Si Sabel,” “Balik Taya,” “Erotica Manila,” and another series that will be streamed soon.
As a hunk, Benz proudly claimed that the sexiest part of his body is his shoulder. And it seemed a reflection of his discipline both as basketball and gym enthusiast. “Sitio Diablo” will be streamed next month, August 26. See you on Vivamax!
