AUSTRALIA’S PAGEANT OF THE WORLD COMES TO THE PHILIPPINES

MANILA, Philippines – Pageant of the World, the most promising international competition based in Australia, has finally arrived in Philippine shores with a new national search for exceptional Filipino men and women, for a chance to represent the country in the Land Down Under.

Pageant of the World Philippines is the newest national competition in the country, and it promises to offer something never seen before, a pageant that promotes the values of the Filipino people, highlights the heart and soul of the Filipino contenders, and celebrates the rich culture of the Philippines.

The winners will fly to Australia to represent the Philippines in the fifth edition of Pageant of the World, a competition that aims to “conquer the beauty and culture across Australia and world.” It also aspires to “outgrow and radically veer away from the traditional notion of beauty pageants, per se, by modernizing and enlarging the concept into an integrated health, beauty, charity, and socio-economic deed.”

Pageant of the World Philippines also encourages the Filipino youth to uphold beauty with substance, virtue, and character, in accordance with the international competition’s four pillars-Compassionate Service, Social Responsibility, Culture Promotion and Education, and Respect and Fellowship. A total of 24 contenders (12 men and 12 women) for the first edition of the Pageant of the World Philippines were officially presented to the public on July 8 at Numero Onse in Quezon City. They will compete for the coveted titles that will bring them to the Pageant of the World competition in Australia, and P150,000 cash for each of the top winners. The runners-up, who will be proclaimed Prince and Princess, will each receive P100,000.

The 2023 Pageant of the World Philippines Grand Coronation Night will be held at Teatrino at the Greenhills Promenade in San Juan City on Aug. 1, with a live telecast on Channel 107 on Cignal TV, and livestreaming via Uplive app.
