At 19, Azi Acosta believes that everything that happened to your life has a purpose. At a very young age, her parents got separated, and she grew up under the care of her aunt. Her mom is an OFW, who works as a dog whisperer (dog trainer), and most of the time she is assigned to London or HongKong by the company.
And his father is a preacher. “I haven’t seen my father for long, since they got separated. And he’s not aware that I’m now doing movies. And in due time, he will know about it. I’m sure he will be disappointed. But sill, this is my life, and I have control over my decisions. He’s still my father, but I’m now mature enough to understand whatever he might feel,” said VivaMax newest screen siren.
As a showbiz newbie, Azi knows her limitation. She stressed that kissing is normal in a scene, but definitely ‘no touching’ of her private parts, and definitely no frontal nudity. “I guess I won’t go that far,” she insisted. “I joined showiz because it’s a childhood dream to become an actress. And I hope this is a big step for me to achieve that goal.”
In her first daring movie “Sitio Diablo” with Benz Sangalang, their controversial “rooftop” love scene has created a buzz among entertainment press. “Me and my partner in the scene discussed about our limitations in the said scene. But of course, Benz was just doing the instructions given to him by our director, but he was still a gentleman and respectful of our limitations.
“But since Shiena, my character in the movie was so wild (laughed), he suddenly licked my boobs…I was shocked a bit, so I licked back (laughed again). It was direk Roman who got scared of me because he knows I still don’t have that experience. But he said that I looked like a veteran. I told him that I watched a lot of VivaMax movies and I picked up some moves and reactions from there,” she explained.
How does she feel when some people start bashing her? “It’s fine with me. I just ignore their opinions, as long as I don’t cause harm to anyone, that’s fine with me,” she said. “I think among Viva’s hunks, I want to work with Diego Loyzaga. I heard from a friend that he’s easy to work with, and I guess it would be fun to work with him.
“My goal in showbiz is to be known eventually in my acting skills, and not just a someone who takes her clothes off, but someone who has to offer in the business, including my kindness to everyone who supported in my journey. Who knows, showbiz might be a lifetime career. It’s too early to tell and I’m just starting to learn the ropes of the industry.
“And as our manager, Tito Jo always advice all his talents to be grateful to all the opportunities that were given to us, and to always do our best and be professional with our work.”
“Sitio Diablo” is directed by Roman Perez, Jr., with AJ Raval, Benz Sangalang, and some of the top rappers in the country. It will be streamed live on August 26, 2022 on VivaMax. Azi’s next film will be “Balik Taya,” also under the same director who gave you the hit movie “Taya.”
